Description: Dunvant Social Centre aims to provide an amenity for the people of Dunvant and its neighbourhood. It is a registered charity managed by a trustee management committee in accordance with the Charities Act 2006.

Services Offered: The hall is used by dancing clubs, keep fit and exercise clubs, slimming clubs, yoga, the horticultural club, the WI, for meetings, badminton, dog training, indoor bowling, table tennis and is popular for celebration and children's parties. Children's involvement includes Rugby Tots and The Swansea Rock Project. It has a stage and can easily accommodate a bouncing castle in the main hall. Regular clubs and activities are listed on the noticeboards.

Facilities Available: The Dunvant Social club is a large community hall with a large downstairs hall, a separate kitchen area, toilets, stage, changing rooms and a separate upstairs room and toilet. It is fully centrally heated.

National Trust – Abertawe Centre

A Voluntary Association of National Trust members to promote and prosper the work of the National Trust and to make membership more enjoyable by holding talks & social events. A varied programme of talks on heritage issues. In the summer we arrange two mid-week coach outings, two Sunday outings and a short break holiday going North and South in alternative years. We hold an annual Christmas lunch in November at a local venue and also a Spring lunch. Some of our members provide volunteer help at Pennard Car park twice a week through the summer and also work as stewards at Dinefwr. Indoor Meetings held in Sketty Parish Centre.

Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales

Description: Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales (FTWW) is a third sector organisation set up to support, inform, educate, and advocate for girls and women in Wales who are suffering a range of health conditions and who are not receiving adequate (or fair) treatment.

FTWW aims to empower women to speak up with confidence amidst a medical and societal environment which tends to privilege the male experience, often dismissing women’s symptoms and concerns as being ‘psychological’ in origin.

Current campaign is on Endometriosis but it is our mission to support all girls and women regardless of the condition as we notice the big inequalities women face within the healthcare system.

We have a closed Facebook group for discussion and information, a website, and you can also contact us for further support.

Local aid charity shop

All funds raised are used to provide support and services to children and community special needs. We provide low cost affordable household items and furniture for the whole community.  Volunteers are always needed to cover 4 hour shifts. Work experience and training opportunities are also run from the shop, volunteers are able to access accredited training and build skills in customer care, basic money skills, health and safety, recycling and disability awareness.

Kids Cancer Charity

A Children’s Cancer Charity that aims to improve the quality of life for children/young people affected by or bereaved by cancer and provide emotional and practical support that complement, and add value to the services provided by the statutory authorities. The family centred care includes: Play Therapy, Holidays, Bereavement Support and Be-friending. Play Therapy:Using play and creative arts to help children /young people affected by cancer or bereaved to express their feelings and experiences helping them to try and come to terms with their situation. Be-friending: Either face to face or by telephone or correspondence is available for anyone whose life has been affected by a child with cancer. Bereavement: The charity offers ‘one to one’ bereavement and pre-bereavement support. It also runs Support Groups providing an opportunity for meeting others who have similar experiences.
