Morriston Big Band

Morriston Big Band was formed in November 1995 with its main ethos to ensure “Big Band” music and traditions live on. The band comprises 19 musicians, with the usual line-up of 4 trumpets, 5 trombones, 5 saxophones, guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, vocalist, providing a wonderfully full and rich sound. The band includes swing, pop and jive in its repertoire . Recent tours abroad include in 2002 to Holland and 2007 to Belgium. Recently appeared on television programme about Morriston. Regularly play in Council parks and give concerts in¬†Singleton Botanical Gardens.

Description of Organisation: The MBB is available to play at all kinds of corporate or private functions including concerts, outdoor events, weddings and dances throughout South and West Wales. The band plays swing and pop jive.
